Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars
|Rolled oats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Unbleached flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), packed|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Semisweet carob chips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg replacer||1 Teaspoon|
|Canola oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Unsweetened apple juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Mix all the dry ingredients, then stir in the wet ingredients.
Mix well and spoon into prepared pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, just until edges begin to pull away from the pan.
Do not overbake.
Bars will be firmer as they cool.
Take out of oven and cut into 18 bars, lifting onto a plate while still warm.
