Maple Nut Crinkles
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , separated|
|Maple flavor||1 Teaspoon (Mapleine)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Robin Hood)|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Unblanched chopped almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 350Â° F. (moderate).
Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg yolk, mapleine and salt.
Mix into creamed mixture until well blended.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
Combine egg white and water andbeat slightly.
Mix together sugar and nuts.
Dip balls into beaten egg white then into sugar nut mixture.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Â° F. for 15 minutes.
