  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Nuts 2 Cup (32 tbs), salted

Combine first 6 ingredients in a saucepan; stir well.
Place over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves; then cook to soft ball stage (232°).
Remove from heat; add nuts, stirring until well coated.
Spread nuts on waxed paper, and separate with a fork.
