Walnut Crispies

Ingredients
  Margarine 4 Ounce (100 Gram)
  Sugar 4 Ounce (100 Gram)
  Dates 6 Ounce, stoned and chopped (175 Gram)
  Sultanas 2 Ounce (50 Gram)
  Glace cherries 2 Ounce, chopped (50 Gram)
  Walnuts 2 Ounce, chopped (50 Gram)
  Rice krispies 2 Ounce (50 Gram)
  Chocolate 4 Ounce, melted (100 Gram, Plain / Milk)
Directions

Put the margarine, sugar, dates, sultanas and cherries in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring well.
Simmer until the dates are soft and tender.
Remove from the heat and fold in the walnuts and Rice Krispies.
Turn into a greased Swiss roll tin and spread out evenly.
Cool slightly, then cover with the melted chocolate.
Cool completely before cutting into pieces.
