Walnut And Mushroom Stuffing

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Fresh mushroom/2 cans, 4 ounce each sliced mushrooms, drained 1⁄2 Pound, sliced
  Butter 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Soft bread cubes 3 Quart (1.5 Loaves)
  Chopped walnut meats 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Rubbed sage 2 Teaspoon
  Marjoram 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chicken stock 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Slowly cook onion and mushrooms in butter until lightly browned, pour over bread cubes and toss to blend.
Add nut meats, salt, pepper, sage, marjoram, and enough broth to moisten; mix lightly.
This amount of stuffing is ample for an 18 to 20 pound turkey.
If you use a smaller turkey, the extra dressing can bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 35 minutes.
