Peanut Noodles

Peanut noodle is a popular snack that consists of cooked noodles and peanuts that are mixed together and served at any time of the day. It is relatively easy to prepare and all that needs to be done is to boil the noodles and combine with peanut butter and peanuts, and cook for some time. The peanut noodle is ready to be served. Referring to Thai peanut noodle recipe, ingredients like whole wheat pasta, peanut butter, lime juice, garlic clove, ginger, edamame, stir-fry vegetables, peanuts, and scallions are used to make the peanut noodles. At times, diced and grilled chicken is added to the dish. The pasta is cooked with salt and water. Peanut salad dressing is prepared by combining other ingredients and poured over the noodles before serving this dish.

 

Peanut Noodle Recipe Variants   

  • Peanut Noodle Salad: This noodle dish is favored by most of the Americans during the potluck party and family dinner. All leftover vegetables can be added to the dish for making it delicious. Ingredients like soba noodles, asparagus spears, carrots, peanut butter, rice vinegar, garlic, toasted sesame oil, crushed red pepper flakes, hot water, spring onions, peanuts, tofu, are required for making the dish. These noodles are boiled in the regular manner and peanut dressing is prepared by using rice vinegar, peanut butter, garlic, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and salt. The dressing is poured over the noodles and tossed with peanuts, asparagus, tofu and salt.

 

  • Peanut Sesame Noodle: This is a popular Chinese noodle recipe which consists of peanut butter dressing and noodle salad. The peanut butter dressing is prepared by using smooth peanut butter, soy sauce, warm water, ginger, clove, red-wine vinegar, Asian sesame oil, honey, and hot red pepper flakes. The noodle salad is prepared with spaghetti, scallions, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and sesame seeds. The dressing ingredients are pureed in a blender, and in the meanwhile, the peanut is cooked  separately and tossed with the remaining vegetables. The peanut dressing is drizzled over the noodles to complete the dish, which is served immediately.

 

  • Vegetarian Peanut Noodle: This dish has featured many times in the online cookery magazines and cook books. This noodle preparation can be easily prepared by combining peanut butter, sesame oil, red wine vinegar, red chili flakes, sugar, Dijon mustard, ground coriander, soy sauce, canola oil, spaghetti, English cucumber, red bell pepper, scallions, and roasted peanuts. The noodles are cooked regularly and the dressing is prepared with other ingredients except cucumbers, scallions and bell peppers. The dish is served in serving bowl after garnishing with peanuts. It can be served with with fresh lemon and lime  drinks, or Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc 1999.
