Shrimp or Chicken and Green Noodle Casserole
|Green onions||4 , finely chopped|
|Cooked and cubed chicken||2 Pound|
|Chopped mushrooms||1⁄4 Pound|
|Sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Mayonnaise||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Whipping cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dijon mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground pepper||To Taste|
|Grated cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cheddar cheese||4 Ounce|
Cook noodles until al dente (tender but firm) or according to package directions; drain.
Toss with green onions; place in 13- x 9-inch (3.5 L) baking dish.
Cover with shrimp and mushrooms.
Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, whipping cream, sherry, mustard, and salt and pepper to taste; pour over chicken.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake, covered, in 350°F (180°C) oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Uncover for last 10 minutes if sauce is too thin.
