Noodle Cheese Ring

Ingredients
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Heavy cream/Whipping cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 3 , separated
  Cheddar cheese 8 Ounce, grated (2 Cups)
  Egg noodles 8 Ounce (3 Cups, Uncooked)
  Dry bread crumbs 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour, salt and pepper.
Gradually add milk and cream; cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
Beat egg yolks; stir in a small amount of hot sauce.
Return yolk mixture to saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, over low heat 3 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted.
Chill.
Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
Stir into cheese sauce.
Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into cheese sauce-noodle mixture.
Sprinkle bread crumbs over bottom of well buttered 6 1/2-cup ring mold.
Spoon in noodle mixture.
Set mold in pan of hot water.
Bake at 350° 1 hour, or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
Remove from water; let stand 5 minutes.
Unmold.
Fill center with green vegetable, if desired.
