Gourmet Sausage And Noodles
|Bulk pork sausage||1 Pound|
|Pimiento||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Green pepper||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Condensed cream of chicken soup||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Crumbled blue cheese||2 Ounce|
|Soft bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon, melted|
Form sausage in "marbles"; flatten in patties and brown lightly on both sides.
(Or, brown sausage, stirring to crumble.) Drain.
Cook noodles in boiling unsalted water till tender; drain.
Combine patties, noodles, pimiento, and green pepper.
Add milk to soup; heat, stirring constantly.
Add blue cheese, heat and stir till cheese melts.
Combine sauce with noodle mixture.
Turn into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Mix crumbs and butter; sprinkle atop.
Bake at 350° 30 to 35 minutes.
