Astoria Seafood Festival
The annual Astoria Seafood Festival is one of Oregon's most popular spring events. The festival concentrates on the bounty of the Pacific as well as on the region's popular wines. Seafood lovers can savor shrimp, salmon, oysters, halibut, and clam chowder. The Northwest's awesome microbrews and wines are also featured here. In addition to the freshest of seafood, you'll be able to enjoy live music and the crafts' booths. The emphasis of the three-day festival is a customary dinner featuring local, fresh-caught Oregon Dungeness crab. The dinner is hosted by the Rotary Club of Astoria.
The annual Astoria Seafood Festival is an enchanting affair. While at the Festival enjoy live music from NW Bands, a fantastic selection of seafood and other culinary delights (including the Rotary club’s traditional crab dinner), wines from 50 Oregon Wineries and about 100 booths filled with handmade arts and crafts.
There will be several bands from the Northwest region along with some of Portland’s local favorites that will be performing at the Astoria Seafood Festival. There will be great music from all genres, from jazz, blues, and reggae to rock and roll. The music will be on all weekend so make sure you put on your dancing shoes.
There will be scrumptious, mouth watering fresh local seafood to enjoy. There will be a wine competition as well along with numerous food and wine vendors who will set up shop. Apart from the food there will be local art and craft vendors displaying and selling locally made handicrafts.
