Is KFC's Secret Revealed - Blogger Claims It Is?! The Kentucky Fried Chicken is favored and savored for its amazing flavors. For about 50 years the Colonel’s Flavor recipe for chicken remained a top secret. But the KFC’s secret spices revealed the actual taste of this exceptionally amazing chicken recipe. For long time the spice mix of the lip smacking good chicken was secretly prepared at different KFC locations in United States. The handwritten copy of the recipe with complete spice mix was safely locked in a vault at Corporate Headquarters.

Before KFC’s secret was revealed on a blog, the company took extra care to retain the integrity and discreteness of its winning recipe. It is believed that Sanders only shared the secrets of his recipe with his wife Claudia and Jack C.Massey , who headed the three man syndicate that purchased the KFC Corporation in 1964.  It is believed that till the time KFC’s secret spices were revealed on a blog- the actual recipe for the lip smacking chicken recipe was not even shared with KFC’s 5000 outlets.

As per the business rules these franchises were supposed to buy premixed seasonings from KFC Corporation. Ever since KFC Corporation grew in mid 1960’s the secret recipe for rounding off the lip smacking chicken remained the subject of speculation between the management and franchises.  For long time it was assumed that seasonings in KFC are similar to ordinary chicken.  Before KFC’s secret being revealed on a blog the restaurateurs had to shell out four times more to buy the seasoning. This price was considered to be very much high for any perceivable spice and herb combination ever prepared on earth.

On September 9, 2008 the copy of the recipe was moved temporarily to some secure location. Before this transfer KFC revealed that the recipe for the flavorsome chicken dish was scribbled on the piece of paper and was signed by Sanders. Before KFC’s secret spices was revealed on a blog the recipe was locked away in the cabinet with two different combination blocks. Vials of 11 herbs and spices were locked in this cabinet and only two of the chief KFC executives had access to the secret recipe.  Before KFC’s secret spices were revealed on the blog, it seemed that none of the well known super chefs could ever guess the secret of this spice mix. On February 9, 2009-the recipe was transferred to KFC’s- Louisville Headquarters in secured computerized vaults and was guarded by high precision security cameras and motion detectors.  Before the KFC’s secret was revealed on a blog many writers claimed to have come close to figure out KFC’s secret recipe.

Wrong. MSG is crystalline white. NONE of the 11 vials have this property. You lose

The above mentioned list is just a speculation and was never confirmed by KFC in any of their press conferences.

O.k. first thing, MSG is not considered one of the 11 herbs and spices. It is considered to be like salt, one thing to consider as well is that on the KFC spice packet they list dextrose as an ingrediant as well. This recipe is missing savory, and the black pepper is tellecherry pepper. Just a couple of hints to the real recipe. If you take a look at the vials and what is truely belived to be the o.r. it seems alot like carribean jerk seasoning. I think that is what the COL. did he made his version of jerk seasoning with a few twists.

Today's Recipe you get at the KFC store (any country) is not THE Original Recipe back in the '60's and 70's.
