Mackerel Sauteed With Mustard And Dill
|Mackerel||3 3⁄4 Pound, cleaned, discarding head and tail|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Of 2 Lemon)|
|Dijon mustard||5 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||4 Clove (20 gm), peeled and chopped (Large Cloves)|
|Bay leaves||4 , crumbled|
|Cayenne pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vegetable oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped fresh dill||5 Tablespoon|
Cut the fish across into steaks, each about 1 1/2 inches thick.
Combine the lemon juice, mustard, garlic, bay leaves, cayenne pepper, and salt in a bowl, then add the mackerel steaks and stir to coat them.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over low heat, add the mackerel, and saute it gently for 10-12 minutes, turning once, or until the fish is done.
Sprinkle with the dill and serve with Green Pea Pilaf .
