Mustard Glazed Shrimp
|Non stick corn oil spray||1|
|Dry mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Hot water||2 Tablespoon|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Or Dark)|
|Duck sauce/Prepared plum sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Prepared)|
|Rice wine/Sake||2 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Oriental sesame oil||1 Tablespoon (Dark Variety)|
|Large shrimp/Sea scallops||1 Pound, shelled and deveined|
|Sliced bacon||3⁄4 Pound, cut crosswise in half|
Line broiler pan rack with foil; spray with cooking spray.
In small bowl stir mustard and water until smooth.
Stir in corn syrup, duck sauce, rice wine, soy sauce and sesame oil.
In large bowl toss shrimp with about 1/4 cup of mustard glaze.
Wrap half slice bacon around each shrimp and thread about 1 inch apart onto skewers.
Broil 6 inches from heat, 8 to 10 minutes or until shrimp are tender, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining mustard glaze.
