Stuffed Mushrooms Italiano
|Fresh mushrooms||1 Pound|
|Celery stalk||1 , chopped|
|Onion||1 Small, minced|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed (Small Clove)|
|Italian bread crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Parmesan cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg||1 Small, beaten|
Wash mushrooms, break off stems and chop.
Arrange whole mushroom caps on baking sheet (for added flavor, sprinkle caps with white wine).
Bake in preheated over 350 F while preparing filling, about 5 minutes.
Saute chopped stems, celery, onion, and garlic in butter until onion is transparent, about 5 minutes.
Allow mushroom caps to cool slightly.
Add bread crumbs, cheese, egg, salt and pepper to saute.
Stuff mushroom caps and return to 350 F oven for 10 minutes.
