Crispy French-Fried Mushrooms
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Club soda||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Crushed corn chex||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Whole mushrooms||2 Pound, washed and trimmed|
Combine the flour, salt and club soda in a bowl; whisk until smooth and the consistency of gravy.
Stir in the corn Chex.
Dip the mushrooms in the flour mixture and deep-fry at 400 degrees until golden brown.
Drain the mushrooms well.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Place the mushrooms in a baking dish and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
