Garlic Marinated Mushrooms With Wine Vinegar

Ingredients
  Olive oil 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Wine vinegar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), halved
  Bay leaf 1
  Sugar 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄3 Teaspoon
  Dried basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Peppercorns 6
  Mushrooms 1 1⁄2 Pound, halved
Directions

Combine all ingredients except mushrooms in a skillet, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in mushrooms, and simmer 5 minutes.
Let cool, cover and chill several hours or overnight.
Drain before serving, removing garlic and bay leaf.
