Savory Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients
  Mushrooms 16 Medium
  Fresh mushrooms 16 Medium
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Green pepper 3 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  Green pepper 3 Tablespoon
  Onion 3 Tablespoon
  Onion 3 Tablespoon, finely chopped
  Bread cubes 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Cayenne 1 Dash
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 350F.
2) With a damp cloth, wipe the mushrooms.
3) Remove stems, and finely chop the stems; keep aside.

MAKING
4) In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of butter.
5) Saute mushroom caps only on bottom side 2 to 3 minutes; remove.
6) In a shallow baking pan, arrange mushrooms, rounded side down.
7) In the same skillet, heat rest of butter.
8) Saute chopped stems, green pepper, and onion until tender, about 5 minutes.
9) Remove from heat.
10) Stir in bread cubes and seasoning.
11) Use to fill mushroom caps, mounding mixture high in center.
12) Bake 15 minutes.

SERVING
13) Serve the mushrooms warm as side dish.
