Savory Mushrooms with Oregano
|Large mushrooms||1 Pound|
|Olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), mashed|
|Crumbled dried oregano||1 Teaspoon, crumbled|
Cut mushrooms into thick slices, splitting the stems once.
Heat olive oil in large skillet.
When just below smoking, add mushrooms.
Cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add garlic, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste.
Serve as a vegetable, or as an entree with buttered hot French bread and a tossed green salad.
