Marinated Mushrooms

Ingredients
  Large mushrooms 2 Pound (1 Kilogram, Firm Variety)
  Wine vinegar/Cider vinegar 1⁄2 Pint (300 Milliliter, 1 1/4 Cups)
  Olive oil 1⁄4 Pint (150 Milliliter, 2/3 Cup)
  Black peppercorns 10
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), peeled and crushed
  Fresh dill sprigs/1/2 teaspoon dried dill 1
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Wash mushrooms gently.
Place in a large screw-topped jar, or in 2 jars.
Combine and simmer remaining ingredients in a saucepan for about 15 min.
Add this liquid to the jar, cover tightly, and leave for at least 1 day.
Serve on a platter, with toothpicks speared through the stems.
