  Onion 1⁄2 Medium, chopped
  Thick cream 1⁄2 Pint
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 2 Ounce
  Mushrooms 1 Pound
  Cayenne 1 Pinch

Heat the butter and cook the onion in it without browning.
Peel the mushrooms and chop them coarsely.
Add to the onions, and cook until almost tender.
Add the cream, and cook very gently until thickened.
