Pear Bran Bread
|Bartlett pears||29 Ounce|
|Wheat bran flakes cereal||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Whole wheat||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Drain pears; finely chop.
Combine with bran flakes; let stand 2 minutes.
Combine oil and sugar; beat in eggs and pear mixture.
Combine flours, baking powder, salt and raisins.
Add pear mixture; stir just until moistened.
Place in greased 9 1/4x5x3 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cook on rack 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely.
