Bonnie'S Favorite Bran Muffins are very popular among my friends. You will love these delicious and nutritious muffins. Bonnie'S Favorite Bran Muffins are my husbands favorite and I often pamper him by serving it for an elaborate weekend brunch.
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  White sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Buttermilk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Whole bran cereal 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  All purpose flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 2 Teaspoon
  Chopped nuts/Raisins / coconut 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars together.
Stir in buttermilk and eggs, then add bran cereal and mix well.
Blend together flour, salt and baking soda, then add to other ingredients.
Fold in chopped nuts, coconut or raisins as desired.
Spoon batter into greased muffin cups and bake.
Muffins are delicious served warm with butter or jam.
Bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes
