Creamy Muffin Curls
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Butter||3 Tablespoon, creamed|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a large bowl with a fork, mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add shortening and then milk, blending to make a soft dough.
Knead slightly and then roll out to 1/4 inch (5 mm) thick.
Spread with creamed butter and sprinkle with brown sugar.
Roll up like a jelly roll.
Cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces.
Stand rolls on end in prepared muffin tin.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
NOTE: Centers of rolls curl up and will be glazed on edges.
