Almond Orange Muffins
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sliced almonds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Skim milk||125 Milliliter|
|Orange juice||125 Milliliter|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Orange zest||1 Teaspoon|
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
Stir in almonds.
In a small bowl, combine milk, orange juice, melted butter, egg whites and orange zest.
Mix until well blended.
Add to flour mixture, stirring lightly just until moistened and blended.
Batter will be lumpy.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, dividing equally.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
