Applesauce Muffins

Ingredients
  Whole wheat pastry flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Oat bran 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Applesauce 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs) (fresh or ready made)
  Raspberry/Any all fruit jam 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven moderate to 350°F.

MAKING
2) In a large bowl mix flour, bran, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and allspice.
3) Create a well in the center and add egg, brown sugar, and dates.
4) Stir in applesauce.
5) Mix thoroughly.
6) Spoon 1/3 cup of the batter mixture into the 12 muffin molds.
7) Drop 1 teaspoon of jam on top at the center of the batter.
8) Drop another 1/3 cup of batter on top of the jam.
9) Bake for 25-30 minutes until light brown.

SERVING
10) Serve warm
