Ingredients
  Shortening/Butter / margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Sifted flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon (For Greasing The Muffin Tins)
Directions

1. Start oven, set at Hot, 400° F. Grease a 12-muffin pan slightly.
2. Cream the shortening, butter or margarine. Add the sugar, then the egg, mixing well after each addition.
3. Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. Add alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture. Mix lightly; do not try to make a smooth batter.
4. Fill the muffin pan about two-thirds full. Bake 20 to 30 minutes, depending upon size of muffin tin.
