Whole Wheat Muffins

Ingredients
  Sifted flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped dates/Chopped raisins 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Melted butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

1. Start oven, set at Hot, 425° F. Grease muffin tins for 12 to 14 muffins.
2. Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. Add the whole wheat flour, sugar and dates or raisins. Mix thoroughly.
3. Combine the milk, egg and butter or margarine. Add to the flour mixture, stirring only until mixed.
4. Fill greased muffin tins two-thirds full. Bake about 20 minutes, until delicately browned.
