Microwaved Bran Muffins

Ingredients
  Dark molasses 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bran cereal 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Butter margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cut into pieces
  Firmly packed brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Chopped nuts/Dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Combine molasses and buttermilk in a medium bowl.
Microwave at HIGH 2 to 3 minutes.
Add cereal and butter.
Stir and let stand until butter is softened.
Mix in sugar and egg.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and add to the cereal mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Fill paper-lined microwave muffin rings 1/2 full.
Microwave at MEDIUM-HIGH according to the following times.
Rotate ring or redistribute individual cooking utensils once during cooking.
