Bran Muffins

  Whole bran cereal 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dark molasses 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dark raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten

Mix bran cereal, brown sugar, buttermilk and molasses in medium bowl.
Let stand until all liquid is absorbed.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir raisins, oil and egg into bran mixture.
Stir in flour until evenly moist.
Spoon batter into 24 paper-lined muffin cups, 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches, filling each half full.
Microwave 6 muffins at HIGH (100%) until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 2 to 3 minutes.
Repeat with remaining muffins.
