If you like playing around with different quantities of breads, this Banana Bran Bread is one you can try! The combination in this LeBanana Bran Bread is usual as well as versatile. Give it a try!
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Honey||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Bran||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Elams)|
|Ripe banana pulp||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Thoroughly blend the first five ingredients in a bowl.
Sift together and add flour, baking powder and salt.
Pour into a greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350°F for 1 hour, until done.
Cool on wire rack.
