|Sifted flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Calumet)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together.
Cut in shortening.
Combine egg and milk and add all at once to flour mixture.
Then stir only until dry ingredients are dampened.
Turn into greased muffin pans, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake in hot oven (400Â°F.) 25 minutes, or until done.
