Mock Chocolate Mousse
|Dessert mix||2 Teaspoon (Bird's English)|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Semi sweet chocolate square||4|
|Light cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grated chocolate||1 Tablespoon (To Decorate)|
Blend the custard powder (Dessert Mix) and sugar with a little of the cold milk.
Heat the remaining milk until almost boiling, then pour onto the custard mixture.
Stir and return to the pan.
Heat gently, stirring, until the sauce thickens, then continue to cook for 1 minute.
Allow to cool.
Break up the chocolate and place in a bowl over a pan of gently simmering water.
Stir until the chocolate has melted.
Whisk the melted chocolate into the custard (Dessert Mix) with the cream and spoon into two serving dishes; chill.
Decorate with grated chocolate and serve.
