Pork And Molasses Casserole
|Boneless pork||7 Pound, cut into cubes|
|Bacon strips||1 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1 inch/ 2.5 cm pieces (Thick Strips, Bacon Rashers)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon (Plain Flour)|
|Onions||3 Large, chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Black Treacle)|
|Tomato paste||3 Tablespoon (Tomato Puree)|
|Canned tomatoes||14 Ounce|
|Beef bouillon||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Beef Stock)|
Toss the pork and bacon in seasoned flour.
Put the onions, garlic and oil in a casserole and cook on HIGH for 3-5 minutes until soft.
Add the pork, bacon, black treacle (molasses), tomato paste (puree), tomatoes and their juice and bouillon (stock).
Cover and cook on MEDIUM for 20 minutes.
Leave to stand for 5 minutes.
Taste and adjust the seasoning
