Soft Molasses Cookies
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dairy sour cream||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Heat oven to 375Â°.
Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake about 8 minutes.
Cool slightly; remove from baking sheet.
While warm, cookies can be frosted with canned vanilla frosting; cool.
(Can be served immediately.) Wrap, label and freeze.
20 minutes before serving, remove Soft Molasses Cookies from freezer and unwrap.
Place on serving plate; thaw uncovered at room temperature.
