Okra with olive oil and pomegranate molasses

This is a very simple vegetarian recipe for Okra cooked Olive Oil and Pomegranate molasses. This recipe is very simple and light on the stomach. When people try this recipe out they will be wondering about the secret of the delicious taste and be surprised how good it tastes. The Okra dish is served with fresh pita bread or white rice on the side.
  Okra 1⁄2 Kilogram (Frozen Or Fresh)
  Fresh tomatoes 4
  Pomegranate molasses 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Cilantro 1 Bunch (100 gm)
  Olive oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
  Minced garlic 1 Tablespoon

Fry the okra in the olive oil until it has some brown color to it

Add the salt and pepper

Add the diced fresh tomatoes and the chopped cilantro

Add the lemon juice and the pomegranate molasses

Cook together until the okra becomes soft.

You may add garlic at the end, and it is only optional

hey summer, how are you? I tried this okra recipe with pomegranate molasses. though the taste was good, but i feel it could be more tasty if we use plain molasses for this recipe...:))

I have never thought of using regular molasses with this recipe because i always have pomegranate molasses but its a good substitute if you do not have the original stuff i guess...creative cooking :)

I love the flavour of pomegranate molasses! I use it with walnuts on chicken-FESENJAM-so yummy.

Okra with olive oil and pomegranate molasses seems to be a really delicious sweet and sour fare ! I've never tried sweet okra dishes,always ate savory okra dishes. But doesn't molasses make this really sticky , when okra itself is sticky? I'd like to use some sugar instead. No offense :)
