|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. Combine the water, sugar, salt and molasses in a saucepan. Cook over quick heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved.
2. Combine the milk and cornstarch and mix until dissolved. Slowly add to the hot syrup, stirring constantly. Cook 2 minutes more.
3. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter or margarine and the vanilla.
