Molasses Wheat Germ Cookies

Ingredients
  Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Brown sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), firmly packed
  Old fashioned molasses 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Non instant powdered milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whole wheat pastry flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Raw wheat germ 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream margarine and sugar together; add molasses.
Beat in egg.
Mix dry ingredients together and add to batter.
Stir well.
Chill about one hour.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Press flat with the smooth bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
If desired, raisins may be used to decorate the cookies.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove after a few moments from baking sheet to wire rack to finish cooling.
