|Vegetable shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking chocolate||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Brown sugar replacement||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|Buttermilk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Strong coffee||3 Teaspoon|
|Flour||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Walnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
Melt shortening and baking chocolate together in a saucepan.
Cool 5 minutes.
Stir in brown sugar replacement.
Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, buttermilk and coffee.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to chocolate mixture.
Stir in walnuts.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
