Trail Mix Treats
|Margarine/Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Parkay)|
|Yellow cake mix||18 1⁄4 Ounce (Pillsbury Plus)|
|Coconut||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In 12-inch heavy skillet, melt margarine.
Stir in cake mix, coconut, nuts, raisins, dates and brown sugar.
Toast over medium heat, stirring often, until crumbs are lightly browned, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes.
Add milk; mix well.
Press lightly in bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch pan.
Chill 1 hour; cut into bars.
