whole wheat mix is a healthy and filling mix recipe that can be used for muffins or cakes and even cupcakes. With wheat germ, wheat flour and non fat milk, this is a ready to be used mix that you can prepare and put away for an anytime baking need.
Ingredients
  Whole wheat flour 4 Cup (64 tbs) (1 Liter)
  All purpose flour 4 Cup (64 tbs) (1 Liter)
  Non fat dry milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (375 Ml)
  Granulated sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (375 Ml)
  Wheat germ 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 Ml)
  Double acting baking powder 4 Tablespoon (50 Ml)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon (15 Ml)
  Solid vegetable shortening 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (375 Ml)
Directions

In a large bowl, combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, milk, sugar, wheat germ, baking powder and salt.
With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Store mix in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Makes about 14 cups (3.5 L).
