|Cream of tartar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chocolate coated peppermint ice cream patties||2 , Coated|
|Crushed peppermint stick candy||1 Tablespoon|
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar, vanilla, and salt to soft peaks.
Gradually add sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
Place cake cups on cutting board; top each with ice cream patty.
Cover with meringue, spreading thicker over ice cream and thinner around cake; seal edges at bottom.
Sprinkle meringue with candy.
Bake at 500Â° for 2 to 3 minutes or till browned.
Serve at once.
