|Whipping cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Crushed peppermint candy||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Semi sweet chocolate||1 Ounce, grated|
Grease a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
In a medium mixing bowl, beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating until glossy and stiff peaks form.
Beat in vanilla.
Fold in crumbs and walnuts.
Spread in prepared pan.
Bake 35 minutes.
Several hours before serving, whip cream.
Fold in 2 tablespoons sugar and peppermint candy.
Spread over cooled chocolate mixture.
Garnish with grated chocolate.
Cut into squares.
