|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Peppermint extract||To Taste|
|Green food coloring/Red food coloring||3 Drop|
In 2-quart glass measure, combine sugar, corn syrup, milk, and cream of tartar.
Cook on HI (max. power) 5 to 6 minutes or until a few drops of mixture in cold water forms a soft ball (238° on' candy thermometer).
Let stand 3 minutes to cool slightly.
Beat with electric mixer until creamy.
Flavor with 8 to 10 drops peppermint extract and color with food coloring.
Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto foil.
When cool, store in airtight container.
