Mincemeat is an irresistible mouth-watering recipe. The deadly combination of beef and fruits is something you would never want to miss out on!
  Tender beef 2 Pound, cooked
  Suet 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Apples 4 Pound, chopped
  Currants 1⁄2 Pound
  Raisins 1⁄2 Pound
Sugar 3 Pound (White Or Brown)
Citron/Any mixed dried fruit 1 Pound
Orange 1 , grated, juice and pulp
Lemons 2 , grated, juice and pulp
  Cinnamon 1 Ounce
  Cloves 1⁄4 Ounce
  Mace 1⁄4 Ounce
  Allspice 1⁄4 Ounce
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Ounce
Berry jam 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Any Kind)
  Apple cider 1 Quart
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Burgundy wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Grind meat, suet, raisins, citron (or dried fruit) and currants.
Add rest of ingredients.
Usually I remove seeds and membrane from oranges and lemons & grind with rest of ingredients.
Also, suet should be separated from thin tissue surrounding it.
Make about 2 weeks ahead of time and keep refrigerated until ready to use.
Pies may then be made and kept in freezer until needed.
This recipe makes about 12 pies.
Bake at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes.
