Ingredients
  Raisins 4 Ounce (125 g)
  Currants 4 Ounce (125 g)
  Grated apple 4 Ounce (125 g)
  Brown sugar 4 Ounce (125 g)
  Sultanas 4 Ounce (125 g)
  Orange 1 , juiced and rind grated
  Lemon 1 , juiced and rind grated
  Suet 2 Ounce (60 g, optional)
  Chopped mixed peel 2 Ounce (60 g)
  Blanched almonds 1 Ounce, chopped (30 g)
  Mixed spice 1 Teaspoon
  Rum/Brandy 3 Tablespoon
Directions

Mince all the fruits together with the nuts, then stir in the remaining ingredients.
Leave covered in a cool place for several days, turning from time to time.
Pack into clean jars and cover with waxed discs or circles of greaseproof paper.
Store in a cool place if you include the suet; without suet it is best kept in the refrigerator.
