|Raisins||4 Ounce (125 g)|
|Currants||4 Ounce (125 g)|
|Grated apple||4 Ounce (125 g)|
|Brown sugar||4 Ounce (125 g)|
|Sultanas||4 Ounce (125 g)|
|Orange||1 , juiced and rind grated|
|Lemon||1 , juiced and rind grated|
|Suet||2 Ounce (60 g, optional)|
|Chopped mixed peel||2 Ounce (60 g)|
|Blanched almonds||1 Ounce, chopped (30 g)|
|Mixed spice||1 Teaspoon|
Mince all the fruits together with the nuts, then stir in the remaining ingredients.
Leave covered in a cool place for several days, turning from time to time.
Pack into clean jars and cover with waxed discs or circles of greaseproof paper.
Store in a cool place if you include the suet; without suet it is best kept in the refrigerator.
