Plantains In Milk
|Plantains||3 Large, peeled|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Thin mild cheddar cheese slices||3 , cubed|
|Cinnamon stick||3 Inch|
Cut a deep slit in plantains from end to end, but do not split all the way through.
Melt butter in a skillet; brown plantains in butter for 2 to 3 minutes.
Fill slits with small cubes of cheese; sprinkle with sugar, add milk and cinnamon stick.
Cover simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook for 15 minutes longer
