Hot Spiced Milk

  Moist coconut 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), shredded
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Milk 1 Quart
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Honey 2 Tablespoon

Brown cocoanut in melted butter in a saucepan, stirring to obtain even color.
Add milk, spices, and honey, and heat to scalding.
Strain out cocoanut and serve immediately.
Cocoanut may be left in if desired, but should in that case be chopped before browning.
