Deep Fried Bean Curd
|Five spice powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground white pepper||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), very finely chopped|
|Tofu cake||4 , halved|
|Peanut oil||625 Milliliter|
|Spring onions||4 , very finely chopped|
In a bowl, mix together salt, five spice powder, sugar, pepper and garlic.
Add one piece of tofu at a time and turn over to evenly coat.
Leave for 1 hour.
In a wok, heat oil until smoking, add tofu and deep fry curd for 5 minutes until puffy and golden.
Drain on absorbent kitchen paper and serve immediately sprinkled with the spring onion.
