Filet Mignon (also sometimes referred as tenderloin steak, or fillet steak) is a steak cut of beef which is usually taken from the tenderloin or psosas of the animal. Filet mignon is a very expensive steak and is also often described as king of steaks due to its tender, and melt in the mouth texture. Grilling, broiling, roasting and pan-frying are the most widely used methods for cooking filet mignon.Some exotic mignon recipes are Italian style filet mignon, stuffed filet mignon, pepper custard filet mignon and teriyaki filet mignon.
