Barrett Klesko's Marinated Flank Steak of Destruction-submitted by Barrett Klesko of All Else Fails
|Flank steak||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sesame oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Lime juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||4 Clove (20 gm), minced|
|Fresh minced ginger||1 Tablespoon|
|Minced fresh ginger||1 Tablespoon|
|Asian chili sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Finely ground black pepper||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground black pepper||1 Tablespoon (Fine Ground)|
This recipe calls for an overnight marinade before cooking.
1.Rinse and pat dry the flank steak then score the meat lightly in a diamond pattern (to allow for maximum flavor penetration).
2. Mix the remaining ingredients in a flat glass dish. Place the meta in the marinated and refrigerate covered for 24 hours. Turn the meat 2-3 times.
3. Preheat the BBQ on high, and brush the grids with olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the flank steak on the hot grids and reduce to medium heat.
4. Grill 5 min per side for medium, and allow steak to rest 3-5 min before carving.
Meanwhile, place the remaining marinade in a small saucepan and bring to boil on the side burner for 2-3 minutes.
4. Carve the steak into thin slices diagonally, against the grain. Drizzle the cooked marinade over the meat and serve.
